A Letter of Gratitude

I sent this letter out to my supporters today. I ask the same of you, please spread the word.

Dear Friends,

I wanted to take a moment and express my gratitude for your support. Your generosity has allowed me to surpass my Team in Training fundraising minimum and now strive to raise as much as I can to help accelerate finding cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma and bring increased hope to the patients and families who are on the front lines of the battle against these blood cancers.

With the expert coaching and mentoring of Team in Training (TNT), this past Saturday I ran ten miles for the first time in my life. If you had asked me on June 19th at my first TNT practice, where I ran 3 miles, if I would ever make it this far, I might have squeaked "I hope so ..."

So here we are, 53 days left to the Hamptons Half Marathon and I am feeling good. I would not be me if I was not asking just one more favor, BUT it won't cost you anything.

Please spread the word of my efforts, as I would love an excuse to raise my fundraising goal again.

Direct your friends to http://bit.ly/runjennyrun to make a donation, or if you think they might need to get to know me a bit better, send them to http://thismommyruns.blogspot.com/ to read my training blog.

As always, I thank you for supporting me with your dollars but more importantly, your faith in me.

Sincerely,
Jenn

Update on Pain

Three words: Deep. Tissue. Massage.

I feel like a new woman, and my foam roller came which as I recalled hurts like a motherf*!%er but works.

Had a good dinner (quinoa, avocado in lemon juice and seasalt, and a little fresh ricotta mixed in) and yet another Vitamin Water Zero and a sugar free Edy's Fruit Pop for dessert.

My clothes are laid out, my fuel belt bottles are on ice (2 water, 2 Kona Cola flavored Nuun), sports beans tucked in my fuel belt.

I am as ready as I am going to be to go 7.

Run Jenny Run.

Bad-ass moment

Today I ran the longest distance to date AND I ran in the pouring rain/thunderstorm/crazy person weather. I felt seriously hard core. Back home now, post hot shower and fed (quinoa, low fat goat cheese and cashews and vitamin water zero) I am seriously read for bed and very proud.

Today you guys got me to my $1,000  mini-goal. $2,000 to go!
I am deeply grateful for your support and am ready to go to sleep.

(and I'm a bad-ass, tee-hee)

STATS: 3.4 miles

Tracy Anderson: I love/hate you!

It was not as hard as last time, granted last time I did this video I was healing from a c-section.

It was still hard.

Today my dear friends donated a total of $825 towards my $3,000 goal.

I am so honored to have such generous pals who understand how important this cause is and who support me with words and wisdom that way out values any amount of cash one might contribute.
